3D Printing capability established

WD Power has added 3D additive manufacturing to its arsenal of manufacturing capabilities.

We have realized the need to keep current with the latest technologies and understand the importance of doing so. Our development turbine project has utilized this technology to incorporate 3D printed parts in actual operational parts of our turbine. These parts utilize thermoplastic polymer materials that are of sufficient strength for the task at hand.

Attached is the Distributor unit that utilizes this technology. This allows us to manufacture ‘’finished machined’’ products that require little or no processing after being 3D printed, and entail some complex shape forms that would have proved complex to manufacture using traditional machining methods.
